Hiroshima in July
Not the best time
July brings intense heat and humidity that can be overwhelming for visitors. The weather dominates everything you'll do, requiring constant adaptation to stay comfortable.
Weather
July transitions from rainy season to summer heat with soaring temperatures and oppressive humidity. The rain usually stops mid-month, replaced by sweltering sunshine. Prepare for temperatures that feel much hotter than the thermometer reads.

All Months
March through May brings cherry blossoms and perfect weather. The Peace Park becomes a sea of pink petals in early April, and temperatures hover around 20°C. Book accommodations early — this is peak season.
September through November offers the sweet spot of fewer crowds and comfortable weather. Fall colors on Miyajima Island are spectacular, especially around Momijidani Park in late November.
Summer gets brutally hot and humid. We're talking 35°C with 80% humidity in July and August. But if you can handle it, summer festivals light up the city, and you'll have popular spots more to yourself.
Winter stays mild compared to northern Japan, but many outdoor activities on Miyajima shut down. The upside? Hotel prices drop significantly, and you'll have the memorial sites almost to yourself.
