Klaipėda in June
Great time to visit
June kicks off proper tourist season with excellent weather and the city fully alive. Expect crowds but also the best conditions and longest days of the year.
Weather
June brings proper summer warmth with long, bright days that stretch until nearly 10 PM. The Baltic Sea finally becomes swimmable for hardy souls, though it remains brisk. Rain becomes rare and brief when it does appear.

- •White nights make evening photography spectacular but bring blackout curtains
All Months
May through September gives you the warmest weather and longest days, but each month has its personality. June brings white nights and fewer crowds — sunset happens after 10 PM, giving you endless golden hours for photography. July and August mean festival season and packed restaurants, plus water temperatures hit 18°C if you're brave enough for Baltic swimming. September offers my favorite compromise: warm days, cool nights, and locals returning from summer holidays. The Sea Festival in late July draws 300,000 visitors, transforming the sleepy port into a massive party. Book accommodation months ahead if you're coming then. Winter is brutal — temperatures drop to -5°C and daylight lasts maybe 7 hours. But if you can handle the cold, you'll have the city to yourself and hotel prices drop by 40%.
