Milan in February

Good time to visit

February gives you authentic Milan without the tourist crowds. Still cold and damp, but you'll have the Navigli canals and Brera galleries mostly to yourself.

Weather

February stays chilly with temperatures hovering around 10°C during the day. The fog starts lifting more frequently, giving you clearer views of the Duomo spires. Rain comes in quick bursts rather than all-day drizzles, with about 12 wet days.

All Months

April through June is Milan at its best. Temperatures hit 20-25°C, outdoor seating opens up, and the city shakes off winter's gray mood. Fashion Week in April brings energy (and crowds). September and October offer perfect weather without summer's humidity. This is when locals return from vacation and the city buzzes with new energy. Fashion Week strikes again in September. Summer gets sticky. July and August see temperatures around 30°C with humidity that makes walking uncomfortable. Many restaurants close for vacation in August. But hotel prices drop significantly. Winter is gray and damp, but La Scala season runs October through March. If opera matters more than sunshine, this is your time. Christmas markets around Duomo add some charm to the dreariness. Avoid Fashion Week unless you're in the industry. Hotel prices triple, restaurants fill up, and the city becomes a circus of influencers and industry types.
