Phi Phi Islands in July
Not the best time
Marginally better than June but still dominated by rain and storms. The few sunny moments feel precious, but you'll spend most time waiting out weather.
Weather
July continues the monsoon pattern with frequent downpours and high humidity. Some days bring brief sunny breaks, but storms roll in without warning. The rain is warm but can be torrential.

July Tips
- •Book accommodation with good indoor common areas and wifi
- •Bring quick-dry clothing and multiple pairs of shoes
- •Some dive shops offer deep discounts for the few clear days
All Months
November through April is prime time — dry skies, calm seas, and perfect diving conditions. December and January are peak season, so book accommodation early and expect higher prices. March and April get hot but still manageable, plus you'll have fewer crowds. May through October brings monsoon rains and rough seas. Many dive shops close, ferries get cancelled, and some resorts shut down completely. But here's a secret — late October can be incredible if you get lucky with weather. Prices drop by 40% and you'll have beaches almost to yourself. Just have backup plans for rainy days. The shoulder months of November and April offer the best balance of good weather and reasonable crowds.
