Podgorica in December
Not the best time
December offers rock-bottom prices and festive decorations but weather that keeps most activities indoors. Come for New Year's Eve or skip it entirely.
Weather
December brings winter's grip with chilly days barely reaching 11°C and nights near freezing. Rain falls frequently, sometimes mixing with sleet. High humidity makes the cold feel more penetrating than mountain areas nearby.

All Months
April through June gives you the best weather without the coastal crowds. Temperatures hit 22°C, perfect for walking and day trips. The Skadar Lake water lilies bloom in May.
September and October work beautifully. The heat breaks, but you can still swim at Skadar Lake. October brings wine harvest season – some of the region's best festivals happen then.
Summer gets hot. July and August regularly hit 35°C, and the city empties as locals head to the coast. But air conditioning is standard in hotels, and evening temperatures drop to comfortable levels.
Winter is mild but wet. December through February sees frequent rain, though snow is rare. Many restaurants reduce their hours.
