Podgorica in February
Not the best time
February offers little reason to visit unless you're chasing rock-bottom prices. The weather stays dreary and most outdoor activities remain off-limits.
Weather
February stays chilly with persistent drizzle and occasional snow flurries. Daytime temperatures creep up slightly but nights remain near freezing. The Morača River valley traps moisture, creating foggy mornings that can last until noon.

February Tips
- •Bring an umbrella that won't flip inside out - the valley winds are stronger than they look
- •Visit the National Museum on rainy afternoons - it's one of the few indoor attractions worth your time
- •Stock up on groceries - many small shops still keep winter hours
All Months
April through June gives you the best weather without the coastal crowds. Temperatures hit 22°C, perfect for walking and day trips. The Skadar Lake water lilies bloom in May.
September and October work beautifully. The heat breaks, but you can still swim at Skadar Lake. October brings wine harvest season – some of the region's best festivals happen then.
Summer gets hot. July and August regularly hit 35°C, and the city empties as locals head to the coast. But air conditioning is standard in hotels, and evening temperatures drop to comfortable levels.
Winter is mild but wet. December through February sees frequent rain, though snow is rare. Many restaurants reduce their hours.
