Cali in October
Not the best time
One of the wettest months with heavy, persistent rains that can really dampen your experience. Only recommended for travelers who genuinely don't mind spending most afternoons indoors.
Weather
October falls deep into the rainy season with frequent heavy downpours and high humidity. The rains are more intense and longer-lasting than earlier wet months. You'll get some clear mornings but afternoons are consistently stormy.

- •If you do come, focus on covered markets and indoor cultural sites
- •The few sunny breaks are precious - be ready to head outdoors immediately
All Months
December through February brings perfect weather — sunny days around 80°F with minimal rain. This is peak season though, so expect higher hotel prices and crowded salsa clubs. Book accommodations early if you're coming during Christmas or New Year's.
June through August offers another sweet spot with great weather and fewer crowds than the December rush. Hotel prices drop by about 20%, and you'll have more space to breathe at popular spots like Parque del Perro.
Avoid March through May and September through November — these are rainy months with afternoon downpours that can last hours. The rain isn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but it limits outdoor activities and makes getting around more challenging.
Feria de Cali happens the last week of December and is absolutely electric if you love salsa. The entire city becomes one giant dance party. But if crowds and noise aren't your thing, skip this week entirely.
