Kampot in September
Not the best time
Marginally better than peak wet season but still pretty miserable. Only attempt if you're genuinely interested in experiencing monsoon season or need ultra-cheap prices.
Weather
Rain remains heavy but becomes slightly less predictable. Flooding is still common and humidity stays brutal. Some days offer morning sunshine before afternoon storms.

All Months
November through March delivers perfect weather — dry, sunny, and temperatures in the comfortable 70s-80s. This is peak season, so book accommodations ahead and expect higher prices.
April gets hot. Really hot. Temperatures push into the 90s with oppressive humidity. But you'll have the place mostly to yourself, and room rates drop by half.
The rainy season (May-October) brings afternoon downpours that cool things down but can flood the streets. Some guesthouses close, and boat trips get cancelled. But the countryside turns emerald green, and you'll see Kampot at its most atmospheric — just pack an umbrella.
