Manali in September
Not the best time
September offers transition weather - still risky for outdoor plans but showing signs of improvement. You might catch clear mountain views between the storms if you're lucky.
Weather
September sees monsoon gradually retreating but rain remains frequent and unpredictable. Clearer days start appearing between storms, offering glimpses of the mountains again. Humidity begins dropping as the season transitions.

- •Perfect time for discounted accommodations
- •Some trekking routes reopen but check conditions carefully
All Months
November through April is peak season for good reason. Temperatures hover around 25°C and humidity drops to bearable levels. You can actually walk around during the day without melting. Hotel prices jump during this period, especially around Formula 1 in March.
December and January offer the best weather but expect crowds. The Manali shopping festival runs through January, bringing deals but also packed malls and restaurants. Book accommodations early if you're visiting during these months.
May through October is brutal. We're talking 40°C+ with humidity that makes breathing feel like work. But here's the thing - hotel rates drop by 40-50% and you'll have attractions mostly to yourself. The malls become your refuge, and evening activities start after 8 PM when the sun finally shows mercy.
