Manaus in November
Good time to visit
November offers a sweet transition period with manageable rain and heat. You get dry season benefits with wet season's cooling storms, making it surprisingly pleasant for those who time it right.
Weather
November marks the transition back toward wet season. Rain returns sporadically but storms are still brief and predictable. Humidity starts climbing back up, making the heat feel more oppressive. Rivers begin their slow rise from dry season lows.

November Tips
- •Perfect balance month - still dry enough for most activities but rain provides cooling relief
- •Book river cruises before water levels change jungle accessibility
- •Pack light rain gear but don't stress about waterproofing everything yet
All Months
Dry season runs June through October, and it's when most people visit. Water levels drop, beaches appear along the Rio Negro, and jungle hikes are actually possible without drowning in mud. Temperatures hover around 32°C (90°F) with lower humidity.
But here's the thing — dry season means crowds and higher prices. Hotel rates can double during peak months (July-September).
Wet season (November through May) is intense. We're talking 250+ rainy days per year. But the forest comes alive, waterfalls are at full power, and you'll have many places to yourself. Plus, high water levels mean you can canoe deep into the forest.
The shoulder months — June and October — offer the best of both worlds. Some rain, but not constant. Reasonable prices. And you can still do most activities.
Avoid March and April unless you love rain. The city can flood, and many jungle tours shut down completely.
