Nice in September
Great time to visit
September is the insider's secret - still warm and sunny but without July's crowds or heat. The locals return from vacation, so the city feels alive but not frantic.
Weather
September brings blessed relief from August's intensity while keeping the sunshine. Temperatures drop just enough to make walking comfortable again. The sea stays wonderfully warm from summer's heat.

All Months
May through June gives you warm weather without the crowds. September and October are golden—still swimmable but less chaotic. April can be lovely but unpredictable. July and August mean peak prices, packed beaches, and 30°C+ heat. Winter surprises people with its mildness—December averages 13°C and you'll find deals on hotels. But some restaurants close, and that famous light isn't quite the same. The Carnival in February brings energy but also crowds. Spring brings the film festival crowd to nearby Cannes, which affects Nice too.
