Good time to visit
February's still pretty quiet around town. The weather's starting to improve, but you're mostly here for indoor stuff and cozy restaurant meals.

February continues the winter pattern with frequent fog and scattered rain. The sun breaks through more often than January, but mornings can still be quite chilly. Humidity stays comfortable around 70%.

All Months
March through May is perfect — temps in the 70s, wildflowers blooming in the delta, and you can actually enjoy being outside. Fall works too, September through November, when the agricultural smells die down and the air clears up.
Summer is rough. We're talking 100-degree days regularly, and the Central Valley heat hits different than coastal California. The delta provides some relief if you're on the water, but walking around downtown in July feels like punishment.
Winter brings tule fog that can last for days. Visibility drops to maybe 50 feet, flights get cancelled, and the whole place feels post-apocalyptic. Romantic if you're into that vibe, but not practical for sightseeing.
