Stockton in May
Great time to visit
May's when Stockton really shines. Perfect weather for everything from Delta boating to downtown walks, before the brutal summer heat kicks in.

May brings consistently warm, dry weather that locals love. Daytime temperatures climb but evenings stay comfortable for outdoor dining. Rain becomes rare - maybe one or two light showers all month.

All Months
March through May is perfect — temps in the 70s, wildflowers blooming in the delta, and you can actually enjoy being outside. Fall works too, September through November, when the agricultural smells die down and the air clears up.
Summer is rough. We're talking 100-degree days regularly, and the Central Valley heat hits different than coastal California. The delta provides some relief if you're on the water, but walking around downtown in July feels like punishment.
Winter brings tule fog that can last for days. Visibility drops to maybe 50 feet, flights get cancelled, and the whole place feels post-apocalyptic. Romantic if you're into that vibe, but not practical for sightseeing.
