Stockton in November

Great time to visit

November's pleasant if you don't mind some rain. Crowds disappear, prices drop, and the weather's still decent for most activities.

Weather

November transitions into winter with mild days and cooler nights. Morning fog starts returning to the Central Valley, and rain becomes more frequent. Temperatures drop steadily but rarely feel cold by most standards.

November Tips

  • Hotel rates start dropping for winter
  • Pack layers for morning fog and afternoon warmth

All Months

March through May is perfect — temps in the 70s, wildflowers blooming in the delta, and you can actually enjoy being outside. Fall works too, September through November, when the agricultural smells die down and the air clears up. Summer is rough. We're talking 100-degree days regularly, and the Central Valley heat hits different than coastal California. The delta provides some relief if you're on the water, but walking around downtown in July feels like punishment. Winter brings tule fog that can last for days. Visibility drops to maybe 50 feet, flights get cancelled, and the whole place feels post-apocalyptic. Romantic if you're into that vibe, but not practical for sightseeing.
