Tegucigalpa in April
Great time to visit
The weather starts getting trickier, but Easter celebrations make it culturally fascinating. Just be ready for some afternoon downpours.
Weather
April brings noticeably warmer days and the first real hints that rainy season is approaching. Humidity starts climbing, and you'll see more dramatic cloud formations in the afternoons. When rain comes, it's usually quick bursts rather than all-day affairs.

All Months
December through April gives you the dry season — clear mountain views and temperatures in the comfortable 70s-80s F. January and February are perfect, with cool mornings that warm up nicely by afternoon. But here's what the guidebooks don't tell you: the rainy season from May through November isn't actually that bad. Sure, it rains most afternoons, but mornings are often clear and the mountains look incredible wrapped in clouds. Plus, hotel prices drop 30-40%. Just pack an umbrella and embrace the drama. Avoid September and October when the rains get serious and some mountain roads become sketchy. Holy Week in March or April brings crowds and higher prices, but also the best street food and cultural events.
