Tegucigalpa in October
Not the best time
Still deep in the difficult season. Unless you're researching the rainy season or have family obligations, pick literally any other month.
Weather
October continues September's soggy legacy with persistent rains and muggy conditions. While not quite as intense as September, you'll still face regular flooding, high humidity, and storms that can last for hours. The city feels perpetually damp.

All Months
December through April gives you the dry season — clear mountain views and temperatures in the comfortable 70s-80s F. January and February are perfect, with cool mornings that warm up nicely by afternoon. But here's what the guidebooks don't tell you: the rainy season from May through November isn't actually that bad. Sure, it rains most afternoons, but mornings are often clear and the mountains look incredible wrapped in clouds. Plus, hotel prices drop 30-40%. Just pack an umbrella and embrace the drama. Avoid September and October when the rains get serious and some mountain roads become sketchy. Holy Week in March or April brings crowds and higher prices, but also the best street food and cultural events.
