Brazzaville in February
Not the best time
February offers no relief from the rainy season misery. The roads are still a mess, the air is still thick, and you'll question why you didn't visit during dry season.
Weather
February continues the rainy season torture with slightly less intensity than January. You'll still get soaked most days, but the storms are shorter and less violent. Humidity hovers around 85%, making even morning walks feel like you're swimming through soup.

February Tips
- •Bring antifungal powder for your feet
- •Stay hydrated but avoid ice in drinks
- •Use the morning hours before 10am for outdoor exploration
All Months
May through September brings the dry season with cooler temperatures and less humidity. Daytime highs hover around 26-28°C (79-82°F) instead of the brutal 35°C (95°F) of wet season. Rain basically stops, making river trips and walking around much more pleasant. This period also coincides with festival season — the Fête de la Musique in June fills the streets with live performances. October through April gets hot and soggy. Daily afternoon thunderstorms flood streets and make getting around miserable. But hotel prices drop and you'll have tourist sites mostly to yourself. December and January see the heaviest rains. The city practically shuts down some afternoons when storms roll in. If you can handle the heat and humidity, wet season offers a different perspective on local life.
