Orange Beach in April
Great time to visit
April might be Orange Beach's secret best month. Weather is nearly perfect, crowds are manageable, and you can actually enjoy outdoor activities without melting or freezing.
Weather
April delivers some of Orange Beach's most pleasant weather. Days regularly hit the upper 70s with low humidity, and the Gulf starts warming up enough for brave swimmers. Rain showers are brief and usually followed by brilliant sunshine.

- •Water is finally warm enough for quick swims, though not tropical yet
All Months
March through May gives you perfect weather without summer crowds. The Gulf water hits 75 degrees by April, and hotel rates stay reasonable. Summer brings families and higher prices, but also the best fishing and water sports conditions. September and October offer the sweet spot — warm water, fewer crowds, and hurricane season winding down. Just avoid July and August unless you love 90-degree heat and packed beaches. Hurricane season runs June through November, but most storms miss Alabama. Still, book refundable accommodations during peak hurricane months. Spring Break hits in March, but Orange Beach stays calmer than other Gulf Coast destinations.
