Orange Beach in December
Good time to visit
December offers peaceful, cool weather perfect for those who prefer Orange Beach without the heat and crowds. Just don't expect to do much swimming.
Weather
December brings cool, crisp weather with highs in the upper 60s and genuinely cold mornings. Rain is infrequent, and you'll get plenty of sunny days perfect for bundled-up beach walks. The Gulf becomes too cold for most swimmers, but the lack of humidity makes outdoor activities pleasant.

All Months
March through May gives you perfect weather without summer crowds. The Gulf water hits 75 degrees by April, and hotel rates stay reasonable. Summer brings families and higher prices, but also the best fishing and water sports conditions. September and October offer the sweet spot — warm water, fewer crowds, and hurricane season winding down. Just avoid July and August unless you love 90-degree heat and packed beaches. Hurricane season runs June through November, but most storms miss Alabama. Still, book refundable accommodations during peak hurricane months. Spring Break hits in March, but Orange Beach stays calmer than other Gulf Coast destinations.
