Orange Beach in June
Not the best time
June kicks off peak season with a vengeance. The heat and humidity can be oppressive, but the Gulf is perfect for swimming and everything is in full swing.
Weather
June cranks up the heat with highs pushing into the upper 80s and humidity that makes it feel even hotter. Daily afternoon thunderstorms become the norm - usually brief but intense. The Gulf reaches its most comfortable swimming temperature.

- •Beach umbrellas are essential, not optional
All Months
March through May gives you perfect weather without summer crowds. The Gulf water hits 75 degrees by April, and hotel rates stay reasonable. Summer brings families and higher prices, but also the best fishing and water sports conditions. September and October offer the sweet spot — warm water, fewer crowds, and hurricane season winding down. Just avoid July and August unless you love 90-degree heat and packed beaches. Hurricane season runs June through November, but most storms miss Alabama. Still, book refundable accommodations during peak hurricane months. Spring Break hits in March, but Orange Beach stays calmer than other Gulf Coast destinations.
