Broome in November
Good time to visit
November brings the heat and humidity back as wet season approaches, making outdoor activities less pleasant. Decent value for money, but you'll be dealing with increasingly uncomfortable conditions.
Weather
November ushers in the pre-wet season build-up with hot 34°C days and warm 23°C nights. Humidity climbs to around 65% and afternoon thunderstorms become more frequent, though often just teasers. The air grows noticeably heavier and more oppressive.

November Tips
- •Air conditioning becomes essential rather than just nice to have
- •Plan indoor activities during the hottest part of the day
- •Hotel rates drop significantly as operators prepare for quiet wet season
All Months
Broome has two seasons — the Dry and the Wet. The Dry runs April through October, and that's when you want to be here. Temperatures sit around 25-30°C, humidity stays low, and rain is basically nonexistent. Peak season is May through September when accommodation prices double and you need to book months ahead. The shoulder months of April and October offer the best balance — good weather, smaller crowds, and reasonable prices. But here's what they don't tell you about the Wet season (November to March) — yes, it's hot and humid, but the storms are spectacular and accommodation is half price. Just know that some roads become impassable and tour operators shut down. Cyclone season runs December through March, so factor that risk into your planning.
