Valencia in January
Not the best time
January is Valencia's quietest month with cheap hotels and empty beaches. The weather won't wow you, but the city feels authentically yours.
Weather
January brings cool, damp weather to Valencia with frequent cloudy skies. Expect mild temperatures but pack layers - mornings can be chilly while afternoons warm up nicely. Rain comes in short bursts rather than all-day downpours.

- •Pack a light waterproof jacket for unexpected showers
All Months
April through October gives you the best weather, but here's the thing about timing in Valencia: avoid Las Fallas (March 15-19) unless you're specifically coming for it. The festival is incredible - giant sculptures, fireworks, street parties - but hotel prices triple and the city becomes absolute chaos.
May and June are perfect. The weather hits 25°C, the beaches are swimmable, and you beat the summer crowds. September and October work just as well - the sea stays warm from summer, but the tourist masses have gone home.
Winter isn't terrible if you're on a budget. January temperatures hover around 15°C, many restaurants close for vacation, but you'll have the City of Arts and Sciences practically to yourself. Just don't expect beach weather.
