Valencia in September
Great time to visit
September delivers summer's best weather with slightly fewer crowds as families head home. Many consider this the ideal month - all the warmth with more space to breathe.
Weather
September offers a perfect compromise with summer warmth but without the scorching intensity. The sea reaches its warmest temperatures of the year, and rain remains rare. Evenings become more comfortable for walking and dining outside.

- •Still beach season but with more breathing room than July/August
All Months
April through October gives you the best weather, but here's the thing about timing in Valencia: avoid Las Fallas (March 15-19) unless you're specifically coming for it. The festival is incredible - giant sculptures, fireworks, street parties - but hotel prices triple and the city becomes absolute chaos.
May and June are perfect. The weather hits 25°C, the beaches are swimmable, and you beat the summer crowds. September and October work just as well - the sea stays warm from summer, but the tourist masses have gone home.
Winter isn't terrible if you're on a budget. January temperatures hover around 15°C, many restaurants close for vacation, but you'll have the City of Arts and Sciences practically to yourself. Just don't expect beach weather.
